Stupid Neigbour (Part III) & Sick (Part II)

Story 1

I suspected that my not-so-stupid-neighbour had already rent another apartment in level 5 coz he kept entering the elavator with his daughter from that floor. That was a clever move. Btw, he owns the apartment which is under mine. Guess he cannot 'tahan' with all the noise that we've made. That's why I haven't seen him for quite some time on my front door. I wonder how much noise can we make when there are only 3 of us in the house. And my house is located at such a high floor so the noise should just dissapear just like that. For those who missed my posts regarding my $%#@ neighbour & have no idea what i'm talking about, please refer to

And to see how high is my house, click on the 'Photo' label on the right bar.

Story 2

I ain't sick anymore.. just a lil' bit of flam here & there. That's all. However, my wife just developed her flu like 3 days back. In the morning we already went to a private clinic near my place and just to be sure it's not the Swine Flu, that night we went to HUKM. B4 this, I thought HUKM is a goverment hospital, but actually it's not. They claimed that they are semi-goverment. I got to know this when I first registered that night where they asked for RM30 for the registration fee. Normal govt hospital only required you to pay RM1 if you're a Malaysian citizen. We had to wait for more than 1 hour just to get to see the doctor. For the medicine, we waited for 30 minutes at first but no sign of her number being called up, we got fed up, so we left the hosp without the medicine as we already have some from the private clinic that we visit during the day. To make the story short, my wife is put under home quarantine for 2 days, as it's too early to diagnose whether it is Swine Flu or not. They gave a letter regarding the H1N1 virus and home-quarantined order for leave purposes.

Sick

I got this flu, sore throat and fever since last saturday. On sunday, it getting worse so on Monday, i went to see a doctor. Usually, I don't bother to see a doctor coz as we all know, it will get better eventually. However I was getting woried coz there are a lot H1N1 cases in Malaysia specifically in KL nowadays. The latest news I heard, 2 schools are closed due to their students affected by this flu. Some of the school has been ordered to shut down a few classes in the school including a private school which is just a stone's throw away from my place. So, just to be sure, I went for a check up and luckily i was nothing. It was just a normal flu. And today, the flu & fever are getting better but not totally gone yet. So here i am, writing this post as i can't do anything else for now.

Btw, last 2 weeks, i was at KLIA and I wonder why haven't the staff at KLIA at least wear a mask. As we all know, most of the cases here are overseas cases. The KLIA staff are the frontliners. The possibility of them to get infected is higher that anybody else. However, in this kind of situation where the number of people infected is getting bigger day by day , everybody should wear a mask esspecially those who are always at a public places and that includes me. Everyday i took the train to my college. So, i guess i have to start look like a ninja..

Car

I consider these 2 months is my 'not so good' months. I won't call it bad as good things did happen once a while.. Last month, my car broked down and it cost me around RM1200 to get it fixed. This month, worst still, RM1600 to get it back on the road. Reason, the engine spoilt. I had to get it overhauled. And for the last 2 days, no aircond. At first I thought, it ran out of gas, but turned out that the cooling coil was faulty. So, i had to fork out another RM200-RM300 for it...

FYI, the car has been with my family for more than 10 years.. So, it is understandable why the car has been acting this way.. Is it a sign for a brand new car, maybe?

Cinema's Drawback

Just got back from watching movie in a cinema nearby.. To tell u the truth, I hate going to cinema, I prefer to watch DVD from the comfort of my home. And now I remember why...

There is always sound of handphone's ringing in the background.. Don't they supposed to silence their phone in the cinema. It will get worst if they pick up their phone and start talking or whispering.. Some might think that whispering is ok but actually it's not. It's irritating...

Next , bunch of monkeys who were sitting behind me keep repeating the movie line.. They even let out their theories of what will happen next as if they are the fortune teller. Feeling like smacking their heads off.. haha..

Last but not least, the guy beside me put his arm on the arm-rest. The problem is his elbow is in my side... Furthermore, his legs were on my side as well.. He really crossed the 'line'..

These are some of the reasons why I prefer to watch DVD. The list actually goes on and on..

'Domestic Violence' Is Nothing Personal

I was suprised on the statement made by our Deputy Prime Minister regarding the run-away model turn princess of Kelantan that was published on 'The Sun', June, 2, 2009 (Front Page).

"I think this is more of a personal matter. To date we have not been dragged into it, so we want to leave it as it is." -- Tan Sri Dato' Muhyiddin Yassin --

Since when 'domestic violence' became a personal issue? The model claimed that she was injected with drugs occasionally until she vomits blood. Imagine, if this problem happens to the wife of a normal citizens, it just a matter of time before the husband will be nabbed for interrogation. Nobody is above the law. This is a serious accusation and
should be investigated thoroughly especially when 2 countries are involved which are Malaysia an Indonesia.

I remembered, one of the advertisement by Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development on domestic violence which aired some time ago on an English station radio about a person who overheard domestic violence of his neighbour and did nothing to stop the violence. Clearly, the message of that ad is to show the ignorance of Malaysian relating to this issue and creating the necessary awareness to all Malaysian but yet many failed to understand.

IGNORANCE IS NOT AN EXCUSE

p/s : i did write a letter to 'The Sun' stating my personal view but it was not published. However they published another letter which have the same title as mine but was written by the Programme Director of Women's Centre Of Change, penang..
